Glass coated plates pair a polypropylene or polystyrene microplate with a thin silicon dioxide (glass) coating in every well. Hydrophobic and lipophilic compounds meet a glass surface, so they stay in solution instead of binding to the plastic, while the plate keeps a standard SBS/ANSI footprint.
On the 96 deep well plates the catalog specifies a 200 nm coating, a working range of -80 °C to +80 °C, low extractables and leachables, and a reduced oxygen transmission rate. The plates replace glass vial inserts in compound storage, DMPK and bioanalysis, with no glass to break.
Formats cover 96 square well (1 mL, 2 mL and 2.2 mL deep well, 1.1 mL short, all pyramid bottom), 96 round deep well (1.6 mL round bottom, 2.0 mL conical), 96 round well at 1.1 mL and half height at 500 µL, and 384 square well at 120 µL flat bottom or 300 µL pyramid-bottom deep well.
